Janet Parker Biography
UIC Associate Chancellor, Budget and Resource Planning
Ms. Parker came to UIC in October 2012 as Director of Budgeting and Program Analysis, following six years as Associate Vice President, Financial Affairs, at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). While at UTSA she was instrumental in their strategic planning and budgeting processes and their tuition and fee proposal development. She created numerous capital project business plans to secure Board approval and bond financing. She oversaw cost analyses of recharge centers and fee-funded entities and was actively involved in enrollment management and policy development. In addition, Ms. Parker led a staff of 100 overseeing all budget activity and financial, capital, property and student accounting services, including grants and contracts. Prior to UTSA, Janet spent nine years at California State University, Long Beach as Associate Vice President, Budget and Human Resource Development, during which she also led the implementation of PeopleSoft HR. She also worked at the University of Anchorage for 11 years, where she last served as Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services.
